I am thrilled to be a part of this wonderful program from the Center for Self-Determination Theory (CSDT) with my friends and colleagues! Run and organized by Julien Chanal, and the SDT Geneva Center, the entire conference will be a smash!

The one-day pre-con is a deep dive that will go beyond theory, we’re talking actionable tools, frameworks, and practices rooted in Self-Determination Theory that you can use immediately to design more engaging teams, better work systems, and environments where people truly flourish.

Expect:
✨ Several ready-to-use audit tools, checklists, and processes applicable to organizational dynamics
✨ SDT-driven manager behaviors & feedback templates
✨ More templates for workflows, hybrid work design, and incentives
✨ A decision framework for tackling wicked problems like burnout and turnover

Program:
We will offer 14 sessions throughout the day. General sessions include:

1️⃣ Jacques Forest, who will provide an opening keynote with an overview of SDT in organizations.

2️⃣ Former NBA Champion, Ronny Turiaf, who will give a keynote sharing what he has learned about the effects of SDT-supported and unsupported practices on winning and well-being.

3️⃣ A panel of those in the organizational trenches sharing best practices and applications for overcoming those wicked problems.

4️⃣ Networking and storytelling activities so folks can meet and learn a bit about each other, and explore viscerally how to engage their teams back home.

5️⃣ Closing comments from SDT Co-Creator, Richard M Ryan.
